Aftercare

First 24 Hours
Keep the bandage on for 2-4 hours after your session. When you remove it, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel — never rub. Apply a thin layer of the recommended ointment. Your tattoo will ooze plasma and excess ink — this is completely normal. Sleep with clean sheets and avoid tight clothing over the area.
Days 2–14: Healing Phase
Wash your tattoo 2-3 times daily with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Apply a thin layer of unscented moisturizer after each wash. Your tattoo will start to peel around days 3-5 — do not pick or scratch the flaking skin. It may feel itchy; this is part of the healing process. Avoid submerging in water (no pools, baths, or hot tubs).
Long-Term Care
After the initial two-week healing period, keep your tattoo moisturized daily. Always apply sunscreen (SPF 30+) to healed tattoos when exposed to sunlight — UV is the number one cause of tattoo fading. Stay hydrated and maintain healthy skin to keep your ink looking sharp for years.
What to Avoid
During healing: avoid direct sunlight, swimming, saunas, and hot tubs. Don't apply alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or petroleum jelly to a fresh tattoo. Avoid tight, synthetic clothing over the tattooed area. Don't let pets or other people touch your fresh tattoo. Avoid heavy exercise that causes excessive sweating over the area for the first 48 hours.
Touch-Up Policy
We stand behind our work. If your tattoo needs a touch-up due to the normal healing process, we offer one free touch-up within 90 days of your original session. Please wait until your tattoo is fully healed (minimum 6 weeks) before scheduling a touch-up appointment. Additional touch-ups beyond the 90-day window are available at a reduced rate.
